Welcome to
daveseck.com, the official
site for guitarist and composer Dave Seck.
Here you can browse audio and video of
Dave’s works and arrangements, purchase and
download sheet-music and audio recordings,
and keep up to date with forthcoming
performances and releases.
After taking up the nylon-string acoustic
guitar at an early age, Dave Seck is today
one of England’s rising young finger-style
guitarists. Graduating from City University
in 2004 after reading music, he has since
been making a name for himself in his
adopted home-town of Oxford as a classical
guitarist, composer, songwriter and teacher.
Influences and inspirations include the
guitarist
John Williams, popular
cross-over duo
Rodrigo y Gabriela,
composer Bill Whelan (to name a few), and
Dave’s playing style ranges from classical
to Spanish to blues to jazz to folk.
In 2010, Dave has played at many gigs, open-mic
nights, weddings and functions, bringing his
eclectic repertoire to a variety of warm,
receptive audiences. As well as his own
compositions - all highly melodic and
accessible - Dave plays many of his own
arrangements of well-known classics, pop,
rock, movie themes etc. These arrangements
have proved popular when Dave entertains the
people and tourists of Oxford, busking
regularly in the town’s central streets.
Dave’s favourite place to perform is
Oxford’s legendary
Catweazle Club,
where he can be seen most weeks.
We hope you enjoy the music on this site. As
well as the exclusively guitar-based works,
there are a whole range of Dave’s other
original pieces, songs, and soundtracks to
check out. Guitarists can easily purchase
and download sheet-music (and tabs)
of the original compositions from the guitar
music page, and the pieces can be listened
to for free. For information on tuition with
Dave or for performance bookings/queries,
please see the
contact page.
Dave Seck co-runs
Boog Studios in
Oxford with sound-engineer and producer Oli

guitarist and bassist with group
LAZARE
and British pop sensation

Special thanks go to Jo Simmonds for her
